It was an incredible night full of energy and musical goodness. I even got to perform a could songs with my daughter @fiagriswold as part of the opening act. So cool! We have the best crew. They worked their butts off on stages big and small, after super long drives, with little sleep, to make us look and sound our best. Thank you! Thank you to everyone that came to our shows. Greetings everyone! @bigbigtrain are still on tou Greetings everyone! @bigbigtrain are still on tour with a day off today making the loooooooong journey from Zootemeer Netherlands all the way up to Oslo Norway. The last 4 shows have been brilliant! We finished off our run in the UK (until our very last show of the tour back in London at Cadogan Hall) in Manchester which was fantastic! All the fans that came to gigs in the UK…THANK YOU! Then we headed over to Germany for our only show there in the town of Weinheim at a very nice venue called the Stadthalle. It was great show with a great crowd! The last two shows we just played were billed as a Big Big Train weekend at one of the very best clubs in Europe. @boerderij_zoetermeer is a historic place that I have had the privilege of playing in many times over my career. We did our main tour set of songs on the first night and a different set on the second night. I opened the show on Saturday with the help of my daughter @fiagriswold (which was so awesome!) and @bravinmusic joined us for the Spock’s Beard classic song June to close the set. On Sunday our very own @clarelfiddle opened the show and totally knocked it out of the park! Clare has a beautiful voice and put on a great little show. @gungfly82 and our trumpet player extraordinaire Paul Mitchell joined her for some songs. The fans on both nights were very energetic and so much fun to perform for. Thank you to all that came to the shows! We have only 4 shows left on the tour. Oslo, Copenhagen, Verviers, and London. If you are near any of those cities come join us for a show! An old prison in Horsens Denmark turned into a place to celebrate rock n roll 🤘 I also got to say hello to @alexskolnick . An incredible guitarist that I’ve spent time with on his trips to @sweetwaterstudios but I’ve never seen @testamentofficial before and they rocked! I also got to experience @dragonforcehq for the first time and all I can say is wow! @geeanzalone is an absolute beast! Back on the road with @mrbig_music and also a thef Back on the road with @mrbig_music and also a theft to report. I rejoined Mr Big in Frankfurt Germany and we played a fantastic show last evening at the Batchkapp. That's the good part. The crappy part is that during the night before the trailer that holds the band gear was broken into and thieves stole 4 of @paulgilbert_official guitars and all of my drum mics that the very gracious folks at @telefunken_mics let me use for the whole Mr. Big run. The bus was parked (and completely locked up of course) in front of the Frankfurt Hilton in a nice section of town. The thieves used cutters to get through the lock on the trailer and ransacked the whole thing. Thankfully they did not steal more but what they did steal is a total drag. The pictures here show what the mics look like and the cases they came in. They were a DC7 drum pack, 2 TF11 condensor mics that have thier own case, and an extra M81-SH. These mics are probably long gone but I thought I would post this anyways just in case anyone sees mics like these come up on Ebay or something like that. There are serial numbers for some of the mics. If anyone does see something shoot me message. Our bus driver has been driving for well over 10 years and has never had one of her trailers broken into. Sadly it can happen anywhere. It sucks. The show must go on.

We were the final band of the 3 day celebration of progressive music and it was an amazing evening. The skies opened up on the audience and rained like crazy but the vast majority of them stuck through the deluge and rocked out with us. It was incredible. Thank you to everyone who braved the elements to be at our show. Unfortunately the festival has now closed its doors for good and it is such a shame. This video is just a short excerpt from our song Miramare with video from my GoPro's and my wife Tiffany's Iphone from out front. It is Iphone audio so it is what it is but it sounds powerful and I think you will be able to tell how much energy was on stage. BBT loves performing and we always look forward to more shows.
